Caleb Boyd posted on the CRC Facebook page that he wanted some company for his 18-miler, and Dalena Custer and I responded to join in. Mike Kahn also showed up for a cameo appearance. Caleb set a pace that's faster than what I usually run for long, but my breathing was relaxed and my legs didn't tighten up until near the end of it. My average today was faster than what I ran for the first half of Thunder Road and would put me well on the way to a 3:10 marathon. The three of us enjoyed rolling through the woods at McMullen and putting in the miles.
