Greenway Rebellion?

Distance: 9.36 mi.
Time: 1:10:54.27 - 7:35 ppm.

I didn't really do anything rebellious on this run; I just keep running the same routes and therefore am running out of post titles. I'm sorry I'm not sorry. I did run on the semi-constructed new section of the LSG, but I turned off when instructed. All systems felt fine today despite a semi-tough effort fourteen hours prior.

Greenway Shaping Up

Distance: 9.64 mi.
Time: 1:11:14.14 - 7:24 ppm.

I ran towards town and all over the place this morning, and on the way back home I discovered that the addition to the Little Sugar Creek Greenway seems to be close to completion. In fact, the path itself is done but  not exactly open yet as there is construction going on elsewhere. It now connects from the Metropolitan all the way to Elizabeth Avenue.

Medium-Long Tuesday

Distance: 8.47 mi.
Time: 1:06:40.96 - 7:52 ppm.

For the second day in a row, I felt sluggish and way off my normal beat. Things weren't pretty out there on the roads today. I just have to get the legs moving again, put the miles in the books, and move on day by day. I got in over 8 at under 8 and that's that and we'll see what happens in a couple days. My heel made its presence known but it comes and goes. Part of running is learning how to balance the good with the bad, and right now I am getting through the bad to get back to the good. I am thankful forever that I am able to do it at all. Life is good.

Recovering

Distance: 6.0 mi
Time: 00:47:55/7:59 pace

As expected, my legs felt pretty tight after yesterday's workout. I just took it very easy, as indicated by the pace above. I ran the Booty Loop route again and just thought about life. Nothing else to report here.

Fresh Legs....Yes

Distance: 6.00 mi
Time: 00:43:07/7:10 pace

It's amazing how much better I feel when I eat healthy snacks, get to bed early, and get out the door refreshed the next day, whether it be 7am or a little later. Also, two consecutive days off never hurts, either. I didn't feel like I was moving that quickly at all, but lo and behold, 7:10 average pace was the law of the day. Not blistering fast, of course, but pretty good for an easy run. I just felt good and enjoyed the scenery on this one.

Booty Loop and Greenway Attempt, Take II

No rain this time, so I succeeded in running part of the Booty Loop and hopping on the Little Sugar Creek Greenway right at the Metropolitan Centre, or whatever that place is called (where Dressler's is). I just wanted to do an easy five or six miles, so I have no idea how I ran my first mile in 6:49. The good news is it did feel easy, but I slowed down and ended up averaging 7:17 pace for the rest of the run. I still love the shoes, and this Garmin is unbelievable. Once again, if you bother to look at the link below, the "bird's-eye view" format is essential for this one. I love this neighborhood!
